Bitball: Building the Future of Flag Football
Over several months, I served as Creative Director for Bitball, a visionary project led by former NFL star Russell Okung. The mission: to bring American flag football to a global stage—beginning with the sport’s first official event in Abu Dhabi. I led the recruitment and direction of a full content team, including videographers and editors, shaping a creative unit tasked with capturing the energy, emotion, and ambition of a historic debut.
The event brought together rising talent and iconic figures—four rookies from Brazil joined NFL veterans like Antonio Brown at Al Nahyan Stadium. We filmed exclusive content, including a contract-signing video and interview with Brown, and produced visuals that were displayed on the stadium’s LED screens during the match. This was more than a game—it was a cultural and athletic statement, introducing Bitball to the world as a serious contender for inclusion in future Olympic competition. The result: a fusion of sport, storytelling, and scale—projected from the heart of Abu Dhabi to audiences around the world.

Russell Okung x NFLBrazil
My collaboration with Russell Okung, former NFL player and Super Bowl champion, began with a series of visual pieces exploring his journey beyond the field. One of the most unique aspects of our work was documenting his immersion into Capoeira—a fluid and expressive Afro-Brazilian martial art. I created videos that adapted to his natural, organic style, emphasizing movement, rhythm, and personal transformation.
This creative direction led to a powerful connection with local culture, earning Russell an invitation to the NFL season kickoff event in São Paulo (September 2024). We also built a collaboration with NFL Brasil, producing content that reached the hearts of hundreds of thousands of Brazilians across social media. The result was more than a sports narrative—it was a cultural bridge, told through visuals that blended identity, movement, and legacy.
When Cultures Connect
The collaboration between Russell Okung and NFL Brasil became a living dialogue between two cultures—where the strength of American football met the soul of Brazilian tradition. Through a series of social media pieces, we captured more than content; we sparked connection. In São Paulo’s streets, people approached Russell not just as a former NFL star, but as a curious guest embracing their culture. They asked for photos, shared stories, and expressed joy at seeing an American learn their art.
Russell moved through it all with humility—energized by the people, the rhythm, and the bridges being built. It wasn’t about promotion. It was about presence. And in that space, something rare happened: sport became language. And legacy, a shared rhythm.
